R. Gary Magnuson

In his 30 years of public service, Mr. Magnuson has worked at all levels of government, including councils of governments in Denver and Fresno, and holding senior aide positions for a Member of Congress, and the Governor of California.  Mr. Magnuson also served as Director of the Coastal States Organization, and Senior Vice President with the Center for Marine Conservation (The Ocean Conservancy).  As an employee with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) since 1995, Mr. Magnuson was the National Ocean Service’s liaison with the maritime community and its staff representative to the Interagency Committee on the Marine Transportation System. Mr. Magnuson is a trained facilitator and a certified association executive.
