The CMTS published the U.S. Navigation Information Strategic Action Plan: 2021-2026 (March 2021), which outlines high-level strategy for U.S. Federal agencies to deliver navigation information to mariners in support of a safer and more secure marine transportation system by advancing the evolution and implementation of the e-Navigation concept

On January 13, 2021, the CMTS COVID-19 Working Group (C-19 WG) hosted a virtual industry listening session to hear directly from stakeholders, in all segments of the U.S. maritime industry, regarding unresolved issues and current challenges regarding COVID-19 impacts on the MTS resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The CMTS Resilience Integrated Action Team (RIAT) has released a report that incorporates impacts and observations of the 2018-2019 hurricane seasons into those from the 2017 hurricane season regarding the ways in which the MTS has become more resilient entitled "A Resilient Path Forward for the Marine Transportation System: Recommendations for Response and Recovery Operations from the 2017-2019
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the maritime open house event “Federal Partners in Maritime Transportation” has been postponed, likely until March 2021. We will provide updates on our website when a new date is selected. We look forward to celebrating our Federal agency partners that contribute to the success of the MTS in the future.
This Veteran's Day, and every day, we honor the many brave women and men who serve or have served in our U.S. uniformed services. But as we pause to honor those in our armed forces, we are also reminded of how we can continue to support those who have risked their lives to protect our great nation!
